Rick earned his real estate license in 1986, but first spent 8 years as a real estate appraiser for TRW Inc, during which time he completed over 4,000 appraisal reports. This experience has been proven priceless to clients when either pricing their homes, or defending an offer while making a purchase.

Rick began full time sales & marketing in January of 1994 with his mother Sue R. Fortson, at Re/Max Suburban in Wheaton, where he served as Sue's buyer's agent for 3 years before breaking off on his own. Sue and Rick later joined Realty Executives Premiere of Wheaton.  He just finished his 17th year in real estate and has sold over $100,000,000 in total real estate volume.

Rick's wife Sue joined him in the spring of 2006, adding 9 years of new construction experience to the team.  She started with McCarthy builders doing home warranty service work, and has since been involved in every area of construction, which includes: coordinating the building trades at every level, choosing the components and overseeing each stage of construction for SPEC homes, helping buyers with upgrade selections, helping with Cost Control, Addressing and confronting all of the challenges of the building process and being a personal relations manager!
